“Take Steps Be Heard For Crohn's & Colitis” on Sat, June 18th

I will be joining my daughter Marci, who is wrapping up her senior year at NC State University, as a member of her team to walk in the Crohn's / Colitis Foundation's largest fundraiser of the year, “Take Steps Be Heard For Crohn's & Colitis” on Saturday, June 18th at 4:00 p.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park (DBAP) in downtown Durham, NC.

Marci was diagnosed with Crohn’s / Ulcerative Colitis seven years ago and while she receives medications from Duke University Hospital on a monthly basis to help alleviate the symptoms, there is currently no known pharmaceutical or surgical cure for Crohn's disease. Over 1.4 million American adults and children are affected by digestive diseases – one in every 200 Americans.

We are welcoming all of our friends to join us for this very worthwhile cause on June 18th to enjoy the festivities, fun, and food. The money will go to research to find a cure and local patient programs. To join her team, you can visit “Team Marci's” webpage at http://online.ccfa.org/goto/teammarci, and click on “Join Team”. If you are not able to join us but are interested in supporting this very worthwhile cause, you can make a donation to Marci’s team by clicking on her name under the “Join Team” section.

Thank you in advance for helping us seek a better quality of life for patients fighting these terrible diseases. Together we can make a difference!
